All life begins as a small seed and at Big Byte we feel that all learning stems from a small seed of knowledge. We hope to be a part of the learning process through caring for and nurturing this seed at some point in its growth, and our ultimate goal is for our students to keep experiencing growth long after they have graduated from our school.

Learning and language acquisition is more than just an acquisition of facts and skills. It is a means of exploring through new experiences and ways of thinking. At Big Byte we feel that the process of learning is as important as the end product, as the lessons learned through experience will long be remembered after lists of facts have faded from memory.

Our staff are all dedicated to creating small learning communities in which teachers and students form stable and mutually respectful relationships to support all students’ learning. Equal attention is paid to students’ intellectual, ethical and social growth. Attention is paid to creating opportunities for students for both independent inquiry and learning in cooperation with others.
