At Big Byte we create a safe and stimulating learning environment in which students can explore learning with their teachers. Excursions and out-of-class activities help to expand students’ experience, while practical teaching based on solid theory offers the most up-to-date approach to language education. Classes for Preschool schools happen every day between 9:00 and 16:30. Included in this time are lessons in language-learning, math, science, physical education, and art. Students also spend an active time engaging with one another in assisted social-skills development. We believe that health and happiness are key to a child’s growth, so there is definitely time for napping and eating lunch and snacks. Southern Taipei: Our branches are located in the Da An area of Taipei city. This is the heartland of education in Taipei and we feel that this situation gives us the best ability to serve the needs of families that are centered on the education of their children. Northern Taipei: In 2005 we launched several branches in the Tian Mu area of Northern Taipei. These schools are aimed at serving the community.

In the Elementary division at Big Byte, our language lessons focus on four key areas: listening, speaking, reading and writing. With these key areas in mind, we have designed an integrated language-learning curriculum that gives students the chance to build their language ability from fundamentals up, utilizing their own learning skills and creativity, equipping them for life-long learning. Classes mainly occur between 13:30 and 18:30 every week day. Classes are preceded by lunch or a snack, since effective learning doesn’t happen on empty tummies. We also work closely with local schools. If you want to know more, click here for the Elementary class schedules page.

Southern Taipei: Our Elementary school branches are all located conveniently within a few minutes walk from local elementary schools. This makes the transition from morning school to English school very easy, with a well-supervised walk.

Northern Taipei: Our branches in Northern Taipei serve the Tian Mu community schools and students. The locations where we are based are convenient for students, enabling them to have an after-school base in our neat and beautifully designed environments.

In the Junior High level, we aim to teach the students to build their self-confidence, to be able to stand in front of an audience and speak, both in formats of a prepared speech nature, and also in the off-the-cuff arena in settings such as debates and unprepared speeches. Southern Taipei: Our Junior High classes take place at branches that meet the needs of our students. However, we also centralize these classes to bring together a bigger group of students, for increased opportunity to interact and stimulate one another’s thinking and speaking skills.

Northern Taipei: In 2005 we launched our Tian Mu branches, and our Junior High program immediately began to flourish in that area too.
